Tip of the week: Drink water BEFORE you eat…
I like food just as much as the next person, but if I waited until I felt full and satisfied before I stopped eating, I would undoubtedly overeat and be overweight. People don’t give themselves enough time to digest and feel full, so they overeat. Experts say that it takes about 20 minutes for the stomach to “tell” the brain that it’s full. The problem is we eat large meals in less than 20 minutes. Think about how easy it is to scarf down an entire 12-inch sub in 5 minutes!
Here’s an easy way to help avoid that problem as well as improve your metabolism: drink 500ml of water 30 minutes before EACH meal. It will make a huge difference in your sense of fullness, digestion, metabolism and in doing so will help you keep the pounds off. It’s simple; try it and you’ll be amazed. It will also help ensure you are staying hydrated, need I say more?
And remember: what you eat is equally important!
